Biography
I am a researcher in developmental biology, focussing in sex determination in mice.
I design and conduct cutting edge -omics experimental and computational approaches from the bench to the data analysis. My research interest is to understand how gene expression is regulated during cell fate decision and maintained during embryonic development and organogenesis. I am particularly interested in sex determination and gonadal development as it represents a unique model of cell fate decision where cells can adopt two opposite identities (testicular or ovarian) and are capable to transdifferentiate between the two fates even in adult upon genetic perturbation. I am applying molecular genetics and bioinformatics analysis to decipher the link between the chromatin landscape and the dynamic of gene expression driving cell fate decision and the maintenance of cellular identity.
